Looking Back at the “NIJISANJI WORLD TOUR 2025 Singin’ in the Rainbow! Shanghai Stage”
The stage lights dimmed, and the five Livers’ silhouettes emerged, instantly igniting a wave of cheers from the audience. The concert kicked off with NIJISANJI’s 7th anniversary song, “Arc goes oN.” Umise Yotsuha and Igarashi Rika sang in Japanese, while Petra Gurin, Luca Kaneshiro and Sonny Brisko performed their parts in English. For the final chorus, all five voices united in English, creating a powerful harmony. Their blend of vocals and rainbow-hued lights filled the venue, truly casting the magical spell of the song’s lyrics, a moment where “we’re living a perfect dream right now,” shared with the fans.
The audience’s excitement soared as the MC segment kicked off. Umise energetically shouted, “The Shanghai Stage has begun!” prompting the audience to wave back enthusiastically. The group then moved on to self-introductions sprinkled with Chinese phrases. Luca warmly said, “I love you all,” Igarashi chimed in, “Let’s have lots of fun today!” Petra confessed, “I’m a little nervous right now, but I’m going to enjoy it to the fullest!” and Umise expressed, “I’m so happy to see everyone.” Finally, Sonny broke the ice with a cheeky, “I’m the officer in charge! I want dumplings,” which brought smiles and laughter throughout the venue.
Next up was the group performance with Petra, Luca, and Sonny performing “Cooking Dreaming Land.” Their adorable cooking gestures and synchronized heart pose perfectly captured the playful spirit of the song. With radiant smiles and heartfelt vocals, they enchanted the audience from start to finish.
Coming up next was Umise and Igarashi’s performance of “HAO,” an upbeat track known for its distinctive shifts in melody and rhythm. The two delivered expressive vocals and entertained the audience with Kung Fu–style poses, making it a stage with one highlight after another. After their song, Umise and Igarashi invited Petra to join them, saying they would perform the next song as a trio.
Then, they called out to the audience, “For the next song, make some noise for Rikashii (Igarashi), Petra-chan, and Hapi-chan (Umise)!” before leading into “Ai♡Scream!” Their sweet, idol-like performance captured everyone’s gaze, with plenty of chants filling the venue throughout the song.
After the girls showcased their cute charm to the fullest, it was time for the boys, Luca and Sonny, to take the spotlight. They passionately performed the classical love song “Cantarella,” serenading the audience with beautiful duets. During the interlude, they spoke directly to the audience with sweet lines like, “I’ve come to pick you up, princess,” “Don’t leave my side,” and “Let’s dance together.” Their heartfelt duet and tender words gently stirred the hearts of everyone watching.
During the MC segment that followed, Luca and Sonny revealed that it was Petra’s idea to help them pick “Cantarella” for their performance. Sonny explained, “We didn’t know so we had to ask one Petra Gurin from NIJISANJI EN who came up with bunch of bangers and we ended up going with “Cantarella.” Luca expressed his gratitude, “She was the mastermind throughout everything.” The two exchanged smiles and confidently agreed, “I think we did pretty well.”
Next to take the stage were Igarashi and Petra. Praising Luca and Sonny’s performance as “incredibly cool,” Igarashi encouraged Petra with, “We can’t let them have all the fun, right?” The duo then delivered a sleek dance synchronized with the heavy beats of “HITOGATA,” instantly heightening the energy in the venue. They traded cool rap verses while still flashing their signature charming expressions, captivating the audience with a performance full of striking contrasts.
In a dramatic change of pace, Umise and Luca delivered a dynamic performance of “Telecaster B-Boy,” instantly lighting up the venue. Along with their charming dance moves, they dashed and jumped across the stage with lively steps, delivering a powerful rendition of the fast-paced rock tune
After their performance, Umise asked the audience, “Did you all have fun?” prompting an enthusiastic roar of cheers. Next came a playful “Kawaii Pose Showdown” between Luca and Umise, only to be called out by Igarashi, Petra, and Sonny who teased, “Not kawaii enough!” The whole group then made heart signs together, hyping up the audience. Just as the excitement reached its peak, Igarashi announced, “This will be our last song!” With a bittersweet mood settling over the venue, the final MC segment began.
Sonny warmly thanked everyone saying, “We got one more coming up but it was already so fun so far! So, thank you everyone so much for coming today!” He then playfully asked, “Can I dance more?” Luca chimed in with a heartfelt “Thank you!” yet his voice revealed a touch of melancholy as he said, “I just want to keep dancing with everyone a bit longer…”
Igarashi beamed as she said, “I’m so happy to be able to show everyone the results of all our hard practice. Thank you all so much for today!” Umise gently spoke to the fans’ hearts, “It was a short time, but did you enjoy it? I hope you won’t feel sad about the concert ending and will think back fondly even after you go home.” Petra conveyed her feelings in fluent Mandarin, “This was our first performance outside Japan as part of the NIJISANJI WORLD TOUR, so I’m truly deeply moved. Thank you, everyone! I love you all.”
The grand finale was “Virtual to LIVE.” As the Livers began singing the chorus, the entire venue joined in a powerful sing-along. Uniting their feelings, all the Livers sang the final phrase together and raised their peace signs high into the air, sparking a roaring wave of applause throughout the hall. The “NIJISANJI WORLD TOUR 2025 Singin’ in the Rainbow! Shanghai Stage” closed on a heartfelt note, with warm gratitude shared between the fans and Livers, deepening their bond.

After the Concert Brings Exclusive Messages from the Livers!

I’ve always wanted to perform at a NIJISANJI concert with all Livers, and singing “Arc goes oN” was something I especially looked forward to. This time, I got to sing many lyrics that are personally meaningful to me, so from the very first song, I was so moved I almost cried. But once we got to the MC segment, I started having a ton of fun. Also, it was super cool how everyone was speaking Japanese, English, and Mandarin during that time (laughs). Getting to perform with the NIJISANJI EN Livers was truly precious. Thank you so much!

Thank you very much to everyone who watched the Shanghai Stage! I had the opportunity to perform in various groups, and I’d like to briefly look back on each one.
I’ve known the song “Virtual to LIVE” even before joining NIJISANJI, so singing it at a major NIJISANJI concert was really special for me. For “HAO,” which I sang with Hapi-san (Umise Yotsuha), we picked it because the concert was in Shanghai, but wow, it’s a physically intense song, and I was sore after every practice (laughs). The “HITOGATA” performance with Petra was all about cool choreography, so I hope fans enjoyed seeing a different side of us. And for “Ai♡Scream!,” we practiced a lot, so it was amazing to see the audience and chat get so hyped.
Overall, it was such a great experience, and I can’t wait to keep singing and dancing going forward!
Petra Gurin
I’ve loved NIJISANJI even before I joined, and when I became part of NIJISANJI EN, I really wanted to help spread NIJISANJI’s magic around the world. So being able to take part in the first overseas leg of this world tour was truly special for me.
Exploring such a diverse range of music and choreography was truly amazing. Performing “HITOGATA” with Rikashii (Igarashi Rika) was so powerful, and “Ai♡Scream!” brought a charming idol energy. Singing and dancing to “Cooking Dreaming Land” was such a fun and energetic experience.
Honestly, I was nervous wondering “Will people actually show up?” and “What if the venue doesn’t fill up?” But once the concert kicked off and I saw the packed audience, I was deeply moved. During the call-and-response, everyone was so loud and enthusiastic, making this day a precious memory. I hope NIJISANJI continues to win the hearts of people all around the world!
Luca Kaneshiro
It was truly incredible. Seeing all the fans singing along and waving their lightsticks really touched me! Especially during “Cantarella,” the cheers were so loud that it really took me by surprise! Performing with this lineup was a lot of fun, and I’m genuinely honored to be part of this world tour. Thank you so much!
Sonny Brisko
I feel honored to have performed at the Shanghai Stage and to have taken the stage with this talented lineup. I could really feel the energy from the audience, and seeing everyone’s smiles made me so happy. The setlist was perfect and well-balanced, showcasing each Liver’s unique strengths and charm.
Singing “Cantarella” once again with Luca was truly enjoyable and I think we really brought out the best in each other. We actually came up with the idea to add lines during the interlude ourselves, so I was curious about how fans would react but it seemed like they loved it, which made me really happy!
